HOW IT WORKS: Our 2 Step 2 Minute process if fast and easy:
Residents of Kentucky including individuals and families with dependent children may be eligible for Medicaid coverage if they also meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Pregnant women
- Dependent children age 18 or younger who are not necessarily living with parents or other relatives
- One or both parents living with a dependent child or children, and is unemployed or underemployed
- One or both parents of dependent children who is not able to work due to illness or disability, has left the home permanently, or is deceased
Family size, total monthly income, and additional guidelines determine the Medicaid payment amount and available resources. Households with dependent children and/or pregnant women have different limits for monthly income.
In order to compute total monthly income correctly, you must count deductions. Deductions include child care for dependents and a maximum of $90 for work expenses. Households with children one year old or younger are allowed to deduct a maximum of $200. Households with children two years old and older are allowed to deduct a maximum of $175 for full-time employment and $150 for part-time employment.
